Fritters (pakora) are one of the most popular tea time snacks in India, these are extremely popular snack choices during monsoons. Pakoras are made with many vegetables and grains such as onion(onion pakora), potato(aloo pakora), egg plant(baingan pakora), paneer (paneer pakoda), cheese, (cheese pakora), moong dal(moong dal pakora) etc. In this recipe video I have shown the step by step process of making pakora(fritters) from chickpeas lentein(chana dal). I have also shown a recipe of a green chutney which is served with these pakoras.

Preparation time – 45 minutes
Serving – 4

Chana Dal (soaked) – 1 cup
Onion – 1/2 cup
Coriander Leaves – 1/4 cup
Ginger – 2 inch
Garlic cloves – 12
Green chillies – 2
Curry leaves (optional)
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Chilli flakes or chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder -1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil to fry

For Chutney:
Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
Green chillies – 2
Garlic cloves – 6
Curd – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
